ONFIGURATION
routing is selected, the OfficeConnect Gateway acts as a router and all IP
traffic is routed to the remote hosts.
You can create, modify and delete your RFC 1483-MER WAN
Configurations. Refer to the
Modifying Your WAN Protocols
section in
this chapter for information on how to modify your currently configured
WAN protocols. If you want to delete a configured WAN protocol, refer
to the
Deleting Your WAN Protocols
section.
RFC 1483-MER Static
Configuration
To configure your WAN settings for an RFC 1483-MER Static
Configuration, perform the following steps:
Forwarding Mode: Routing

Select
Create
from the
PVC Name Edit Mode
drop-down menu. If no
WAN interface has previously been configured, the field will already be
set to
Create
.

Enter a name for your PVC (Permanent Virtual Circuit) in the
PVC Name
field. This is the name for the WAN you are configuring. The PVC is the
circuit that will be used to form the connection between the LAN and
WAN sides of the OfficeConnect Gateway.

Select
RFC 1483-MER
from the
WAN Protocol
drop-down menu.The
WAN Configuration page will dynamically change as shown in the
following illustration.
