Minimum System
Requirements
The following list identifies the minimum system requirements for using
the OfficeConnect Gateway on your network:
■
PC with Ethernet 10BASE-T or 100BASE-T interface
■
Any operating system supporting an Ethernet connection with a
TCP/IP stack
■
DSL service is required from a broadband service provider.
■
VoDSL service is required to support toll-quality voice service over DSL
from a broadband service provider.
All OfficeConnect Gateway units can operate with a central splitter or
splitterless (with in-line filters).

Small businesses can subscribe to the
same business-class voice service usually
affordable to only large enterprise
customers.
■
The IAD provides transparent support of
all Custom Local Area Signaling Services
(CLASS) features such as call waiting,
Caller ID, and three-way calling.

Dynamic allocation of bandwidth with
voice prioritization ensures toll-quality
voice service.
■
Compatibility with existing telephone
equipment, including fax machines,
analog telephones, modems, and PBX
and Key systems ensures ease of use.
