Passing Control Back
to the Peferred
Server
The
runMode
command is used to pass control back to the preferred
server.
1
Enter
runMode dormant
at the Server CLI prompt. The server checks for
logged on users and running jobs. A server cannot enter Dormant mode
if there are logged in users or running jobs. If either are found, the server
displays this message, and takes no further action:
Server cannot enter dormant mode unless there are
no logged in users and no running jobs
If there are no running jobs and no logged in users, the server halts its
client connection service, and displays this prompt:
Server ready to enter Dormant Mode. Ensure the
remote server is in Active Mode then press any key
to complete the Active to Dormant Mode transition.
2
Press a key for the server to re-run the startup phase that decides
whether the server should be running in Dormant or Active mode.
