Installing the EMS

Server using the

Silent Option

To install the core on a dumb terminal or from a Telnet console, use the
silent installation command option:

java -jar EMSSetup.jar -silent

CAUTION:

With this option, you cannot override any installation

defaults.You will not be able to choose the name of the installation
directory or which EMS components to install.

Installing the EMS

Server using the

Console Option

The installer can be run with the

–console

option, shown below. This

provides a text version of the installation wizard. Enter the command as
follows:

java -jar EMSSetup.jar -console

The following screen displays:
