Installing the 3Com TFTP Server for Windows Software
To install the 3Com TFTP Server software:

From the EMS CD, locate the
3ts01_04.exe
file and double-click it.
The
3Com TFTP Server Installation
wizard appears.

Next
to continue with the installation.

Click
Yes
to agree with licensing.

The default installation is
C:\Program Files\3Com\TFTP Server
. To select a
different location, click
Browse
.

Click
Next
to accept the default installation location.
The TFTP Server software installation starts.

Click
Finish
when the installation completes.
Initially Configuring the 3Com TFTP Server for Windows Software
To initially configure the TFTP Server software:

Start the 3Com TFTP Server software. The default location is
Start

All
Programs
|
3Com TFTP Server
|
3Com TFTP Server
.
The
3Com TFTP Server
application appears.

From the menu bar, click the
Options
button.
The
Options
window appears. See
Figure 7
.

From the
Upload / download directory
field type the path to the location
where the upload and download files are located. There is no reason to
change the default location, the option is available for customizing.

Check the checkbox following
Allow file uploads
. This is necessary for
backups to work.
