Import New Devices
This option will import all devices that are not currently present in EMS.
The import will create an Equipment folder for each subnet present in the
HP OpenView database. All the devices in each subnet will then be
imported into the appropriate Equipment folder.
Once the initial Import has been performed, subsequent imports will
only import new devices that are not present in EMS.
An
Imported HPOV Devices
logical view is also created and maintained
during the import process. This provides a convenient means of
viewing all the devices that have been imported from HP OpenView.
Remove Old Devices
This option will remove all devices from EMS that have been deleted from
HP OpenView since the last import. The devices are also removed from
the
Imported HPOV Devices
logical view.
