3 Manual switching to the backup lamp
The xenon light source has a lamp module containing two xenon lamps.
The second lamp is used as backup lamp. Manually swivel in the backup
lamp into position (Page 217) if the maximum service life of 500 hours has
been reached or the first lamp has failed (see also maintenance intervals
Page 222).
If the backup lamp is being used, keep a new lamp module ready for
exchange. (Page 224).
4 Indicator: backup lamp is in use
If the red segment (4) in the button (3) is lit, the backup lamp is operated.
5 Opening the lamp module
When you press this button, the slide-in lamp module is partially ejected.
6 Brightness setting
If the light source is switched on, the brightness can be infinitely adjusted
by turning the brightness control button for the fiber illumination.
CAUTION Limited service life of the xenon lamp!
If used longer than the indicated service life of 500 hours the xenon lamp
may fail or burst.
Dropping fragments may contaminate the sterile area. Risk of infection.
• Manually swivel in the backup lamp (Page 217) or replace the lamp
module in a timely manner (see Page 226).
