Setting the suspension arm weight compensation
• Do not perform balance setting until the surgical microscope and all
accessories have been mounted!
• The maximum load on the suspension arm must not exceed 7kg.
• Loosen the friction adjustment screw (1) of the suspension arm.
• Insert an 8mm hex key into opening (3) of the articulated joint cover (2).
• Use the hex key to turn balance adjustment screw (4) until balance has
been achieved.
• Check the weight balance of the suspension arm in several positions.
• Using the braking screw (1), adjust the vertical movement of the
suspension arm until it moves as freely as you require.

NOTE Balancing the system
• Perform a weight compensation (balancing) before using the device
(not above the patient and with a secure distance to other persons and
devices) so that the surgical microscope remains in its position within the
working area.
CAUTION Risk of crushing - mind your fingers!
Fingers may be crushed in the areas marked with the "Risk of crushing" label.
• Do not touch these areas while the system is being moved or brought in
its working / transport position.
