Controls of the OPMI pico with Endoport
Use The Endoport endoscope port is intended for use on OPMI pico microscopes
in ENT surgery.
Description
The endoscope port of the OPMI pico Endoport is a standardized interface for
endoscope cameras. This port permits an external endoscope camera with
special adapter to be connected using the quick-action locking mechanism.
If you want to equip the surgical microscope with the Endoport accessory,
please observe the requirements for system expansions, see Page 250.
Only attach external endoscope cameras including adapter with a maximum
weight of 1.0 kg to the endoscope port.
The endoscope port always produces an image at infinity; for this reason,
the external endoscope camera's focus must also be set at infinity.
The procedure of focusing the endoscope camera at infinity is a camera-
specific procedure and differs from camera type to camera type.
Microscope settings such as for example the focusing of the eyepieces does
not affect the endoscope port.
