1. Follow the steps in “operation inspection before start” (Begin of section 5.2).
2. Sound the horn.

Make sure that there is nobody or obstacles in the swing range area
4. Carefully push the engine speed control lever forward.
Warning ! In case that engine start fails, turn the starting switch back to “OFF” position,
and wait for 2 minutes before the next attempt.
Notice Retrying right away after a start failure will damage the coil in the starter and cause
the battery to fade.
Notice Starting in freezing days
1. Set the engine accelerator rod to a place slightly higher that the “minimum idle
speed” position gently.
2. Turn the starting switch to warm-up position till the preheat indicator lights up.
3. After the preheat indicator comes on, turn the starting switch to START position
immediately.
Warning! If the engine fails to start up within 15 seconds, release the starting
switch key, and then repeat the above steps after 2 minutes.
1. Turn the key switch to “I” position and check if all indicator lights light up.

The meters will adjust, and the warning buzzer will sound for 2
seconds.

If any indicator does not turn on at this moment, check for the reason
and replace it.

Contact an XCMG maintenance agent otherwise and stop using the
machine immediately.
2. Check all the indicators and gauges. After 2 seconds, all indicators will go
out except the following ones.
3. Sound the horn and make sure that there is nobody or no obstacle in the
work area.
4. Set the key switch to start position and the engine should start up within
approx. 5 seconds.
5. After engine start, release the key and it will return to “I” position.
