Maintenance of Oil System

Replacement of engine oil and oil filter

Notice

Replacement of engine oil and oil filter

1. Opertate the engine until the coolant temperature reaches 60

℃

Shut off the engine.

2. Turn the oil drain switch to drain the oil immediately to be sure

all the oil and suspended contaminants are removed from the
engine. A drain pan with a capacity of 30 liters will be adequate.

3. Open the right door. Clean the area around the bubricating oil

filter head.

4. Use oil filter wrench to remove the oil filter.

5. Clean the gasket surface of oil filter head.

NOTE:

The O-ring can stick to the filter head. Be sure it is removed

before installing the new filter.

6. Apply a light film of lubricating oil to the gasket sealing surface

before installing the filter.

NOTE:

Fill the filters with clean lubricating oil.

7. Install the filter to the filter head. Tighten the filter until the gasket

contacts the filter head surface. Tighten 3/4 to 1 turn after the
gasket makes contact with the filter head.

NOTE:

Mechanical over-tightening may distort the threads or

damage the filter element seal.

8. Shut the oil drain switch off.

9. Open the engine cover and filll the engine with clean oil to the

proper level. Quantity: 11L.
