Control does not
initiate a weld
schedule. Control is not receiving BINARY
SELECT inputs. Check the device supplying the inputs.
Check the I/O module and check input
supply voltage to the I/O module. Check
the I/O Status Display at the DEP.
The INITIATE WELD input is not
being supplied with the BINARY
SELECT inputs. (Certain applications
require this.) Check the device supplying the Initiate
Weld input. Check the I/O module and the
input supply voltage to the I/O module.
Check the I/O Status Display at the DEP.
The PARITY input is required (to
supply an ODD number of inputs).
Certain applications require this input
when the total number of inputs in the
weld initiate is an even number. Check the device supplying the PARITY
input. Check the I/O module and the input
supply voltage to the I/O module. Check
the I/O Status Display at the DEP.
Control is in retract, and the setup
parameters specify that initiation is
INHIBITED from retract. Check the setup parameters. Either take
the control out of retract before initiating,
or change the Initiation from Retract setup
parameter. (You must also cycle power
after changing the state of the retract
setup parameters.)
Control has detected a fault condition.
(Faults must be reset before initiating
a schedule when the setup para-
meters INHIBIT initiation on Faults.) Check the data entry device to determine
which fault condition was detected. Clear
the fault(s) and re-initiate.

Change the setup parameters to ALLOW
initiation when fault conditions are active.
Improper or loose wiring. Verify that connections are correct and
wiring is secure. I/O designations are
listed in the drawing packet provided with
the control. Also check input supply
voltage to the I/O module.
Faulty I/O module or weld processor. Replace as necessary.
