distance from the bed rail to the bottom edge of the tool.
4.
Move the carriage so that the back end of the tool is positioned above the bed rail. Measure the
distance from the bed rail to the bottom edge of the tool.
5.
If the measurement from the tool to the bed rail is not equal within 1/32" (.75 mm), adjust the ver-
tical tilt of the outer blade guide roller.
6.
Loosen one set screw at the side of the blade guide assembly.
See Figure 5-5.
Loosen the jam nuts on the top and bottom vertical tilt adjustment screws. To tilt
the roller up, loosen the bottom screw and tighten top screw. To tilt the roller down, loosen the top
screw and tighten the bottom screw. Tighten the jam nuts and recheck the tilt of the blade.
7.
Move the blade guide alignment tool close to the inner blade guide roller assembly and repeat
the above steps. Adjust the vertical tilt of the inner blade guide if necessary.
Blade Guide Horizontal Tilt Adjustment
If the blade guides are tilted in the wrong direction horizontally, the back of the blade may contact
the flange as the roller is spinning down, causing it to push the blade away from the guide roller.
8.
Remove the blade guide alignment tool from the blade and adjust the blade guide arm halfway in.
