7.3.5 Reporting to the EC any inconsistencies encountered which could affect
the monitoring data.
7.3.6 Following items listed within this procedure.
8.0 INSTRUCTIONS
8.1 FREQUENCY
8.1.1 Weekly, inspect the monitoring station by field staff.
8.1.2 Monthly, download data stored in data logger and reformat the
monitoring data.
8.1.3 Quarterly, inspect the monitoring station by QA staff.
8.1.4 Semiannually, calibrate the monitoring station sensors by field staff.
8.2 Weekly, the field staff and Quarterly the QA staff is to inspect the monitoring
station conducting the following checks. Inspection results are recorded on form
RSD-101r.
8.2.1 Perform manufacturer's system checks as specified in manufacturer's
operating manual.
8.2.2 Check the outside of the station for broken equipment (wind vanes,
probes, etc.).
8.2.3 Visually check meteorological station console for damage or improper
operations.
8.2.4 Visually inspect the temperature sensor aspiration cables, connections
and tower mounts.
8.2.5 Inspect and clean when needed the precipitation and evaporation leaf
screen and level gauge.
8.2.6 Check the Data Acquisition System connection to the storage module.
8.2.6.1 Check the switch position on the storage module.
8.2.6.2 Check the clock time on the Data Acquisition System.
Reprogram if the time is incorrect.
8.2.6.3 Check and record temperature, wind speed, wind direction and
battery voltage on the weather station inspection form.
