RADON FLUX MEASUREMENT

1.0

PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure is to standardize the methodology used to measure tailings
impoundment Radon-222 emanation rates following the protocol listed in EPA Method
115 at the Cañon City Milling Facility.

2.0

SCOPE

This procedure applies to the collection of radon flux samples and the measurement of
the radon emanation rate from the Cañon City Milling Facility’s Main Tailings
Impoundment.
