6.0
HEALTH AND SAFETY
6.1.
When sampling, precautions should be taken to avoid possible chemical hazards
from crop treatment, i.e., pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. In addition, it
would benefit the samplers to be familiar with and avoid contact with plants that
present a contact hazard such as poison ivy.
6.2.
Latex gloves are worn to minimize skin contact with plants and soil.
7.0
RESPONSIBILITY
7.1.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for:
7.1.1.
Administering principals to assure adherence to procedures found in the
QAPP current version.
7.2.
The Environmental Coordinator (EC) is responsible for:
7.2.1.
Providing the locations for the vegetation samples based on information
obtained from other monitoring sources in and around the milling facility.
7.2.2.
Ensuring that the field staff technicians obtaining vegetation samples are
properly trained.
7.3.
The Field Staff are responsible for:
