Model 010B Wind Speed Sensor
The Model 010B Wind Speed Sensor employs a lightweight three-cup anemometer, which
isdirectly coupled to a slotted disc chopper wheel. The chopper rotates and interrupts the light
path of an optical link. The signal is amplified and produces pulsed frequency output
proportional to wind speed. The sensor has National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST) traceable accuracy of +1% over its entire calibrated range, with a starting threshold of 0.5
mph.
Model 020B Wind Direction Sensor
The Model 020B Wind Direction Sensor employs a lightweight, airfoil vane that is directly
coupled to a single precision potentiometer. The built-in electronics module provides a voltage
source for the potentiometer and amplifies the output signal for transmission over long cable
lengths.
Model 060A Temperature Sensor
The Model 060A temperature sensor employs a solid-state multi-element thermistor, which
produces a relatively large resistance change per degree of temperature change. It is used with
the Model 076B Motor Aspirated Radiation Shield to determine ambient temperature.

Model 076B-1 Motor Aspirated Radiation Shield
The Model 076B-1 motor aspirated radiation shield is designed to continuously sample ambient
air with negligible radiation errors for temperature, differential temperature, and dew point
measurements. The shield design eliminates all errors caused by either solar or terrestrial
radiation, as well as secondary errors caused by convective heat transfer from the outer shield
surfaces. Air is drawn into the bottom of the shield through two concentric ports. High velocity
air drawn into the outer port scrubs the hot surface air from the exterior radiated surfaces and is
exhausted. The inner port draws in the air sample, a true gas temperature measurement is made
and the air is exhausted at the top of the radiation shield. This airflow system prevents
convective heat transfer to the sampling stream. Radiation Error <0.005˚F under maximum solar
radiation of 1.6 gpm-cal/cm/min.
Model 083C Relative Humidity Sensor
The Model 083C Relative Humidity Sensor employs a polymer thin film capacitor. A
one-micron thick dialectic polymer layer absorbs water molecules through a thin metal electrode
and causes capacitance change proportional to relative humidity. Range 0 - 100% Relative
