Indicators
The V100 has six (RevC unit five) LED indicators on the front panel for displaying the status of the unit, as
follows:
The port1 and port2 LEDs have three states in aggregate mode:
Fast flashing RED when carrier is lost
Solid GREEN when carrier is present
Flashing GREEN when a loop is detected on the port
In tributary mode the LEDs indicate data activity:
GREEN for good data packet sent or received
RED for an errored packet sent or received
The test LED has two states:
Solid RED when the unit has no valid configuration
Solid GREEN when an ISDN link call is made (RevC only) or as a power-on indicator (RevD only)
The option1 and option2 LEDs indicate data activity on the option card.
The option0 LED (for RevD only) indicates carrier on the special option card, which could be either the
TDM Interface, ISDN Basic Rate Link Interface, E1 Link Card or IP Aggregate.
The LEDs are all illuminated RED for a short period when the unit is power cycled, whilst the self-test is in
progress. When no LEDs would be illuminated or the unit is quiescent, an oscillating display is shown on
the LEDs to indicate the unit has power.
