The IP Menu
The IP router feature is configured from an entry on the main menu – “IP”.
Under the “GENERAL” menu, the user configures the Ethernet port speed and type and enters the IP
address of the DNS server in the network. In the example below, the IP router has been programmed to
act as a remote DHCP server, capable of dynamically distributing IP addresses to clients. This mode would
typically be used at the remote site, where the office LAN needs to be presented such that PCs and
laptops can be plugged in as normal.
If more than one connection is required then a hub would be connected into the V100 via an RJ45
network crossover cable.
