Secure Voice Relay Card
The Secure Voice Relay Card (VI68709) is also hosted by the 4-channel Analogue
Voice/FAX card (VI68701) and has the same footprint as the Voice/FAX Daughter
Card. It works in parallel with the four channels on the host card and so the
connectors for channels 5 to 8 are not used. In this way, all of the standard
features of the voice motherboard are still available with the addition of the ability
to relay the encrypted data from military secure telephones, both STU-IIB and STU-III. At no time is the
secure data decrypted.
Support for other encrypting telephones may be added by software update.
The STU Relay Card has no user-changeable jumper links and is detected automatically by the system.
