Call setup can take up to 30 seconds from mobile to mobile; note the Connection Timeout setting. The 
Receive ready filter should be set to zero. 

The ISDN configuration page for each unit should be set as shown below: 

 

In the example above, the terrestrial end (Node0) is the USA and the ISDN Link Interface Card is loaded 
with the appropriate US protocols, in this case National ISDN 1 has been selected. A Call Timer value of 

10 minutes ensures that no single ISDN call lasts for longer than 10 minutes. This is a safety valve feature 
to prevent large dial-on-demand costs when a unit or network is configured incorrectly. This safety valve 

can be disabled by setting the Call Timer value to permanent. 

It is also important to set the GRX and GTX clock references to be driven by the ISDN adaptor to ensure 

that the system clocks at each end are locked at all times. The clocking menu at each end should be 
configured as follows:
