A C S. Even though th i s sect i on has been wr i tten for an i nexper i enced operator, the
user may st ill encounter d i ff i cu l t i es. If w h il e try i ng to use these procedures, the
operator exper i ences prob l ems, i t i s recommended that the user abort the operat i on
and refer to Sect i on 5.0, Operat i on, and become more fam ili ar w i th the system
before attempt i ng to track a target.
The 7 2 0 0 has an easy-to-use he l p system that may be referenced at any t i me
dur i ng th i s procedure by s i mp l y press i ng the [HELP] key.
To qu i ck l y beg i n track i ng a target w i th the 7 2 0 0 A C S, use the fo ll o w i ng
procedures.
1. From the M a i n m e nu... , se l ect Ed i t syst e m c onf i gu r a t i on... , and S i t e d a t a ... .
2. Se l ect E. L ong i tud e of s i t e [ d e g ] and fo ll o w i ng the a ll o w ab l e range of va l ues
sho w n i n the system prompt, use the numer i c keys to enter the E. l ong i tude of
the s i te.
3. Fo ll o w i ng the procedure i n step 2, se l ect N. La t i tud e of s i t e [ d e g ] and S i t e
a l t i tud e [ m e t e r s ] and enter the s i te spec i f i c va l ues.
4. Press [PRIOR] and ans w er yes to the system prompt to save the changes.
5. Se l ect S e t UTC d a t e a nd t i m e ... .
6. Se l ect D a t e and enter the correct day of the month. Press [EN TER] and the
month i s h i gh li ghted.
7. Us i ng the up and do w n arro w keys, se l ect the correct month. Press [EN TER]
and the year i s h i gh li ghted.
8. Enter a year w i th i n the range spec i f i ed i n the prompt and press [EN TER].
9. Set the t i me i n the same manner as the date and press [EN TER].
