The checksum i s the 1 ’s comp l ement of the sum, modu l o 2 5 6, of a ll the characters i n
text ( i nc l ud i ng a ll b l anks). Th i s does not i nc l ude the f i rst space after the checksum, nor
does i t i nc l ude the CR that term i nates the li ne.
The checksum output by the 7 2 0 0 A C U a l so does not i nc l ude the f i rst space after the
checksum.

use w h i ch may cause prob l ems w i th operat i on such as runn i ng off the target, chang i ng
parameters to i mproper sett i ngs, etc. Th i s system i s not des i gned to h i de deta il s of the
7 2 0 0 A C U’s operat i on; i n fact, any user at any t i me may v i e w any status or parameter
sett i ngs of the 7 2 0 0 A C U.
4.5.1 S ec u ri ty Le v e l s a nd T r a ns i t i ons
The 7 2 0 0 A C U has three secur i ty l eve l s; the i r ru l es app l y to the remote ports as w e ll as
to the front pane l w i th a fe w except i ons. The l eve l s are:
Mon i to r : ( l eve l 1) A ll system status and parameter va l ues may be exam i ned;
ho w ever, none may be mod i f i ed at th i s l eve l . The antenna
may not be commanded from Mon i tor l eve l .
Op e r a to r : ( l eve l 2) A ll pr i v il eges of Mon i tor l eve l . A dd i t i ona ll y, a user w i th
Operator pr i v il eges may command the antenna to a ne w
pos i t i on. Th i s i nc l udes the ab ili ty to manua ll y command the
antenna. A user w i th Operator pr i v il eges may not mod i fy
system parameters; ho w ever, an Operator may i n i t i ate a
track i ng mode that w ill mod i fy the stored data, and/or orb i t
mode l s for the target i n quest i on.
