Procedures are prov i ded for sett i ng and chang i ng the pass w ord. Procedures are
a l so prov i ded for c l ear i ng the pass w ord, i f the user has forgotten the pass w ord or
the user does not w ant pass w ord protect i on to be enab l ed on the system at any
t i me.
The 7 2 0 0 A C U, as sh i pped, has pass w ord protect i on enab l ed w i th a ll pass w ords
c l eared. The user can then set the pass w ord by enter i ng the S e t us e r l e v e l ( a nd
p a sswo r ds ) ... menu and fo ll o w i ng the procedures prov i ded i n paragraph 5.8.4 i n
the Operat i ons Sect i on of th i s manua l .
If the pass w ords have a l ready been set, the A C U w ill ask for the o l d pass w ord f i rst
before accept i ng a ne w pass w ord.
If a pass w ord has been l ost or the user w ants to d i sab l e pass w ord protect i on, use
the fo ll o w i ng procedures to reset a pass w ord or d i sab l e pass w ord protect i on.

1. On the front of the 7 2 0 0 A C U, set the DRIV E EN A BLE s w i tch to d i sab l e the
dr i ves.
2. Us i ng a l arge f l athead scre w dr i ver, remove the four scre w s ho l d i ng the 7 2 0 0
A C U i n the rack.
3. On the rear of the 7 2 0 0 A C U, set the po w er s w i tch to the off pos i t i on.
4. On the rear of the 7 2 0 0 A C U, check that a ll cab l es have enough s l ack to a ll o w
the un i t to be pu ll ed forw ard about 2 0 i nches (5 0 cent i meters).
