The 7 2 0 0 A C U can support severa l mon i tor ports s i mu l taneous l y. On l y one port,
i nc l ud i ng the front pane l , may be at a secur i ty l eve l other than Mon i tor at a certa i n
t i me.
One port ( " A " ) may take contro l from another ( " B " ), prov i ded that port A has the
pass w ord for a h i gher secur i ty l eve l then B.
The except i ons to the ru l es above that app l y to the remote ports are:
1. A t the 7 2 0 0 A C U front pane l , the [ST OP] key i s a l w ays ava il ab l e for use
regard l ess of user l eve l ; ho w ever, the remote port must be at Operator or
Superv i sor l eve l i n order to stop the antenna.
2. The 7 2 0 0 A C U front pane l may assume contro l from a remote port, prov i ded
the user has an adequate secur i ty l eve l . If both ports are at the same secur i ty
l eve l , the front pane l assumes contro l . For examp l e, i f the antenna i s current l y
be i ng contro ll ed by a remote port i n Operator l eve l , and a user l ogs i nto the
front pane l i n Operator l eve l , the remote port goes back to Mon i tor l eve l and
cannot assume any l eve l other than Mon i tor. The front pane l on l y perm i ts i t by
e i ther dropp i ng do w n to Mon i tor l eve l , or the remote asserts Superv i sor l eve l .
If the front pane l i s i n Superv i sor l eve l , no remote port can take contro l a w ay
from i t.
W hen the 7 2 0 0 A C U po w er i s cyc l ed, the secur i ty l eve l s of a ll ports ( i nc l ud i ng the front
pane l of the 7 2 0 0 A C U) rema i n the same.
4.5.2 P a sswo r ds
Pass w ords are a one to n i ne d i g i t number. Sett i ng a pass w ord to 0 d i sab l es pass w ord
protect i on for that secur i ty l eve l . To comp l ete l y d i sab l e pass w ords, set both Operator
and Superv i sor pass w ords to 0.
Even i f both pass w ords are d i sab l ed, the same procedure must be used to change
secur i ty l eve l s and transfer contro l to/from the remote ports. The system w ill not
prompt for a pass w ord.
