The Track a Target menu a ll o w s se l ect i on of a preconf i gured target to track. W hen
th i s menu i s se l ected, i f there are no prev i ous l y conf i gured targets, the screen w ill
appear as sho w n i n F i gure 5-8. For i nstruct i ons on enter i ng targets i nto the target
se l ect i on menu, refer to paragraph 5.8.2.6.

menu. Th i s target-or i ented env i ronment cons i sts of preconf i gured targets that
i nc l ude the des i red track i ng mode. Mu l t i p l e, un i que data bases are s i mu l taneous l y
ma i nta i ned for a ll targets. The user s i mp l y se l ects the name assoc i ated w i th the
des i red target and the A C U automat i ca ll y i nvokes the mode, or ser i es of modes,
and any pred i ct i ve track i ng data base(s) estab li shed for that target.
To track a target i n the target se l ect i on menu, use the fo ll o w i ng procedures:
1. From the M a i n m e nu , se l ect T r ack i ng fun c t i ons... , and T r ack a t a r g e t... .
2. Us i ng the arro w keys on the 7 2 0 0 A C U keypad, move the cursor to the des i red
target and press [EN TER].
3. A prompt w ill appear to conf i rm that track i ng shou l d beg i n at the preconf i gured
pos i t i on. To beg i n track i ng the target, togg l e the [YES/N O] key to [YES]. To
cance l the track i ng funct i on, ans w er [N O], and the A C U w ill return to the T r ack
a t a r g e t... screen.
