NOTICE The system status LEDs give a quick overview of the general
system status; they do not have any function for the safety status of the
instrument. Before performing any maintenance on the instrument,
make sure that the main power switch is in the OFF position and that
the power cords of
mass spectrometer and forepump are disconnected. It is
not sufficient that the Power LED is off because it might be defective. ▲
Power Panel
Figure 6-2 shows the location of the main power switch at the left side
of the instrument.
In the OFF position, the power to the instrument and the forepump is
switched off. In the ON position, power is supplied to the instrument.
In the standard operational mode, the main power switch is switched to
position ON.
