Getting Ready

The progress of the following processes will also be displayed in the
Get Ready pane. If all selected modes have successfully passed their
respective performance reports, the Get Ready procedure indicates
its successful completion.
If other selected modes did not pass their performance reports, the
Get Ready procedure will not take further action and indicate its
failure.
In this case, the user is asked to thoroughly revise all relevant parts of
the instrument, for example, the connections of the CCT gas lines,
filling level of the tuning solutions. Additionally, it is recommended
to carefully check the generated performance reports for indications
for the failure and to clean or exchange the sample/skimmer cone.
In any case, although the Get Ready procedure was not completed
successfully, the instrument can be used for analysis.
5. Click to return to the principal Dashboard screen or go
to the Analysis tab to prepare LabBooks for measurement.
Going to Operation Status with Instrument Control
As an alternative to the Get Ready procedure, the instrument can also be
switched to operation status inside Instrument Control. However, this is
only recommended for experienced operation personnel (for example,
the Lab Manager).

To switch on the instrument
1. Open Instrument Control.
2. Click On in the iCAP Q ribbon. The start-up procedure is triggered
and the plasma is lit.
3. Select the measurement mode from the drop down menu in the
Measurement Mode ribbon tab.
4. To verify the instruments performance, manually run a performance
report for the selected measurement mode.If necessary, perform a
source autotune or mass calibration.
