Specifying the Rinse Vial Position
This section describes two methods for specifying a rinse vial position.
Method 1: Specify a vial in the rinse vial range
1. To define the rinse vial range, start the Chromeleon 7 Instrument
Configuration Manager or Chromeleon 6.8 Server Configuration
program and open the AS-DV
Properties dialog box. Click the
Options tab. Under Rinse Vial Range , define a range of vial
positions to be reserved for rinse vial use only (see Figure 3-12 ).
2. In the Chromeleon instrument method or program, enter Rinse for the
vial position. See the example in Figure 3-10 .
When the Dionex AS-DV performs the rinse, it takes the rinse liquid
from the first vial in the rinse vial range. If the first vial is empty, the
next vial in the range is used, and so on. If the specified rinse volume
is greater than a single vial volume, the Dionex AS-DV takes the
