3. Install the cap in the vial:
•
For a 0.5 mL vial, orient the cap with the ridged end up (see
Figure 3-2 ) and place the cap in the vial.
•
For a 5.0 mL vial, orient the cap with the small end up (see
Figure 3-2 ) and place the cap in the vial.
4. Use the flat end of the insertion tool (P/N 037987) (see Figure 3-3 ) to
press the cap into the vial to the proper depth (the top of the cap is
flush with the lip of the vial). The tool is provided in both Dionex AS-
DV Ship Kits (for 0.5 mL vials, P/N AAA-071115; for 5.0 mL vials,
P/N 068887).
NOTE Do not use the concave end of the cap insertion tool
for installing caps on Dionex AS-DV vials. It is for
use with another autosampler.
