5-31 CHASSIS

OIL SEAL

• Install the inner tube

into the outer tube

• Apply fork oil to the lip of oil seal

lightly.

99000-99001-SS8: SUZUKI FORK OIL SS-08

or equivalent fork oil

• Insert the oil seal

to the inner tube.

• Fit the oil seal

into the outer tube with the special tool.

09940-52861: Front fork oil seal installer set

• Install the oil seal stopper ring

and dust seal

The removed oil seal must be replaced with a new one
to prevent oil leakage.

* When installing the oil seal to the outer tube, be care-

ful not to damage the oil seal lip.

* Avoid using solvents for washing to prevent oil seal

damage.

* Apply fork oil to the anti-friction metals and lip of the

oil seal.

* Make sure that the oil seal stopper ring has been fit-

ted securely.

* Make sure that the oil seal stopper ring

is fitted

securely.

* The removed dust seal must be replaced with a new

one.
