GENERATOR COIL RESISTANCE 

• Remove the front frame cover. (

• Remove the rear center leg shield. (

$

5-6)

• Disconnect the generator coupler.

Measure the resistance between generator lead wires using the
multi-circuit tester. If the resistance is not within the specified
value, replace the generator with a new one.

• Measure the voltage between generator lead wires using the

multi-circuit tester. If the tester reads under the specified
value, replace the generator coil with a new one.
