• Install the gasket

 and cam chain tension adjuster

• Holding the push rod with the 

 

-

 screwdriver, install the cam

chain tension adjuster 

 

2

 to the cylinder.

• Tighten the cam chain tension adjuster mounting bolts to the

specified torque.

Cam chain tension adjuster mounting bolt:

10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m)

NOTE:
Make sure that the “up” mark comes to the engine upper side.

• Install the rubber cap

• After installing the cam chain tension adjuster, rotate the

crankshaft (some turns), and recheck the positions of the
camshaft sprocket.

#

• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A” to the O-ring

.

• Install the O-ring 

 

1

 to the camshaft sprocket cover.

99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”

The removed gasket must be replaced with a new one.

After installing the cam chain tension adjuster, check
to be sure that the adjuster works properly by check-
ing the slack of the cam chain.
