The extent of brake pad wear can be checked by observing the
grooved limit line

REAR BRAKE SHOE WEAR

This motorcycle is equipped with the brake lining wear limit indi-
cator on the rear brake.
To check wear of the brake lining, perform the following steps:

• First, check if the brake system is properly adjusted.
• While operating the brake, check to see that the tip of brake

lining wear indicator plate

is within the range

on the

brake panel.

• If the tip of brake lining wear indicator plate

is beyond the

range

, the brake shoe assembly must be replaced with a

new set of shoe. (
