• Install the starter driven gear

 and key 

 

3

.

• Degrease the tapered portion of the generator rotor and also

the crankshaft. Use nonflammable cleaning solvent to wipe off
oily or greasy matter to make these surface completely dry.

• Install the generator rotor

.

• Hold the generator rotor with the special tool.
• Tighten the generator rotor nut

 to the specified torque.

STARTER IDLE GEAR

• Install the starter idle gear

 and spacer

 onto the starter

idle gear shaft

NOTE:
Apply engine oil to the starter idle gear and shaft.

GENERATOR COVER

• Install the dowel pins 

 

1

 and gasket 

 

2

.

• Install the generator cover 

 

3

.

• Tighten the generator cover bolts to the specified torque.

Generator cover bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m)

NOTE:
Install the clamp with the bolt

The removed gasket must be replaced with a new one
to prevent oil leakage.
