3-61 ENGINE

CRANKCASE

• Thoroughly remove the sealant material and oil stains on the

mating surface of the right and left crankcases.

• Install the dowel pins

into the left half of the crankcase.

• Apply engine oil to the conrod big end and transmission

gears.

• Apply SUZUKI BOND “1207B” to the mating surface of the

right crankcase as shown.

NOTE:
* Use of SUZUKI BOND “1207B” is as follows: Make surfaces

free from moisture, oil, dust and other foreign materials.

* Spread on surfaces thinly to form an even layer, and assemble

the crankcases within few minutes.

* Take extreme care not to apply any BOND “1207B” to the oil

hole, oil groove and bearing.

* Apply to distorted surfaces as it forms a comparatively thick

film.

• Tighten the crankcase bolts to the specified torque.

Crankcase bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m)

NOTE:
Install the ground lead wire with the bolt
