• Install the camshaft sprocket

• Engage the cam chain onto the camshaft sprocket with the
mark
C
at just top position.
• Align the mark
C
of the cam sprocket with the concave line

of the cylinder head.
• Install the spring

, plastic washer

and decomp. cam

as shown.
• Hook the part
E
of the spring onto the decomp. cam and fit
the part
F
to the slit of plastic washer and hole of the cam
sprocket

• Turn the decomp. cam
6
counterclockwise and install the
decomp. cam stopper

• Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolts to the specified torque.

Camshaft sprocket bolt: 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m)
CAM CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTER
• Apply engine oil to the push rod.
• Retract the push rod with a
-
screwdriver by turning it clock-
wise.
Turn the spring

and decomp cam

counterclock-
wise to install them.
