3-15 ENGINE

Re-finish the valve guide holes in cylinder head

with a 10.8 mm reamer

and handle.

CAUTION:

This remedy is permissible where the
length

will not be reduced to less than 2

mm. If this length becomes shorter than 2
mm, then the valve must be replaced.
After installing the valve whose stem end
has been ground off as above, check that
the face

of valve stem end is above the

cotter

.

If the valve stem is worn down to the limit, when

measured with a micrometer, replace the valve.
