WARNING! Keep batteries out of reach of children and pets.
Swallowing a battery could have life-threatening consequences See a doctor immediately if needed,
even you only suspect a battery may have been swallowed
Never charge batteries
Batteries must not be deformed, damaged, disassembled, opened or short-circuited.
Batteries must not be exposed to heat, fire or any type of liquid.
Should a battery be leaking, make sure that the liquid does not come into contact with your skin or eyes In the event of
contact with the liquid, rinse the affected area with water and see a doctor.
FORCE SETTING SAFETY INFORMATION
The factory-set forces (value 2) on the drive unit are designed for smooth operation of the corresponding standard gates;
the forces exerted in the factory setting should generally be sufficient to fully open and close the relevant gate. In the factory
setting, the drive unit complies with the legal requirements as well as those prescribed in the applicable standards (such as
EN 13241-1, EN 12453, EN 60335-2-95) for the operating forces and thus the maximum permissible force limits.
If necessary, the forces exerted by the drive unit can also be reduced (value 1) or increased (value 3)
using the procedure outlined below
Note
This must be carried out if, for example, the „gate open“ or „gate closed“ end stop is not reached with the factory setting
(value 2); the setting for the maximum force – as described below – must then be gradually increased until the respective
end stop is reached
Furthermore, the operating behaviour of the gate could deteriorate during the course of its service life (e.g. due to a decline
in the spring tension). It may then become necessary to adjust the forces in order to prevent the need for manual operation
to open or close the gate, as this would pose a safety risk (e.g. gate crash) for people and objects.
However
WARNING:
An increased force setting which deviates from the factory setting (value 2) could lead to severe personal
injuries or even death as well as property damage!
An increased force setting which deviates from the factory setting affects the forces exerted by the drive unit to open and
close the gate Changing the factory setting could lead to the risk of serious or even fatal personal injury as well as the
risk of property damage (e.g. jamming or crushing of objects or persons in the gate area), since an increased force setting
which deviates from the factory setting could cause the aforementioned maximum permissible force limits to be exceeded
Therefore:
Note:
After each adjustment of the force setting (value 3) which deviates from the factory setting (value 2), compliance
with the force limits specified by law and the relevant standards must be checked, approved and documented by a
qualified person in order to rule out the outlined danger to life and limb as well as objects.
