Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) warnings
or has experiences a complete failure. If a
warning or failure is displayed, contact Ross
Video Technical Support for information on
diagnosing the warning or replacing your hard
drive.

Is the software version on the control panel the
same as the software version on the frame. An
upgrade must to be performed so that both the
frame and the control panel are on the same
software version.

Are the cooling fans in the control panel
operating normally, or has one, or more, of
them failed. The Power Supply Modules that
contain the cooling fans are closed units and
not field serviceable. If a fan needs to be
replaced, the entire module is replaced.

successfully discovered and set up. If a module
is not properly set up, or is not present, a
warning is displayed.

Input Status
You can check if a video signal is present on any video
input on the switcher. This can be used to diagnose
missing video sources or cable connection problems.

Only boards that are installed in the frame report the
status of their video inputs.
A green or yellow indicator is shown for each input on
the board. A green indicator shows that there is a valid
video signal detected on that input. A yellow indicator
shows that there is no valid video input detected on that
input.
Non-Sync Status
You can check if a video signal into a MultiProcessor
Input, selected on a source bus, or the video outputs of
the switcher, is synchronized with the switcher reference
format. The Non-Sync indicators serve as a warning only,
indicating that the timing of the input should be fixed at
the source. If the source is non-synchronous with the
switcher reference format, cuts, dissolves and other
effects can still be performed, but the source is shifted
vertically.
If a non-synchronous source is selected on a crosspoint
bus, and the non-sync detection feature is turned on, the
crosspoint button flashes, indicating that the source is
mistimed.
