Video Processor MultiViewer
— has access to every
input on the switcher, has four heads (A,B,C,D), and
replaces an ME in the switcher. Each Video Processor
MultiViewer can also be configured to provide 2
floating 3D DVE keys that can be accessed from any
ME on the switcher.
•
Input MultiViewer
— has access to only the input
sources fed into the MultiProcessor Input board, and
is not available on the standard Video Input board.

Video Processor MultiViewer Activation
Each Video Processor board supports up to two
MultiViewer generators. The resources provided by a
Video Processor board can be assigned to either an ME
or a MultiViewer. The other ME/MultiViewer on the
Video Processor board is unaffected.
When you activate a MultiViewer, you have the option
of activating a standard MultiViewer or a MultiViewer
with floating DVE keys. These additional DVE keys are
available to any ME in the switcher.
Note:
Floating DVEs use MultiViewer channels on the same
Video Processor board to route video. The last four sources into
the MultiViewer will show black.
The Input MultiViewer does not need to be activated.
To Activate a MultiViewer
Each Video Processor board provides resources for up
to 2 ME outputs, up to 2 MultiViewer generators, or up
to 2 MultiViewer generators and 4 3D DVE keys. A
single ME and a single MultiViewer is also supported.

Tip:
If a Video Processor is already supporting a
MultiViewer the ME is replaced with MultiViewer.

Select the type of MultiViewer you want to activate:

MultiViewer X
— the MultiViewer is activated
and the ME is turned off.
•
MultiViewer X 3D DVE
— the MultiViewer
and floating 3D DVE are activated and the ME
is turned off.

MultiViewer Layouts
Each MultiViewer generator is assigned a layout that
specifies how the boxes are arranged and what source is
assigned to each box in the layout. The size and number
of boxes in the layout depends on the layout that is
selected.
To Assign a Layout to a MultiViewer
1.
Press
HOME

Setup
>
MultiViewer

2.
In the
Layouts
area, select the layout that you want
to assign to a MultiViewer.
3.
Press
Input/Video Processor
to select whether
you want to set up an Input MultiViewer (
Input
) or
a Video Processor MultiViewer (
Video
Processor
).
4.
In the
Input/Video Processor MultiViewers
area, select a MultiViewer.
This is the MultiViewer that the layout will be
assigned to.
To Assign Sources to a Video Processor
MultiViewer Layout
Note:
The Input MultiViewer is restricted to the 20 inputs to the
MultiProcessor Input board.

area, select the layout that you want
to assign video sources to.

Use the
Id
knob to select the MultiViewer source
that you want to assign a video source to.
Each layout has access to 32 sources. These
MultiViewer sources must be selected for the layout
before they can be assigned to any of the boxes on
the layout.
Note:
The ancillary data of the first source in the list is
embedded in Head A and the ancillary data of the first or
