Function: S.M.A.R.T. info fig 3.4.7c
This function allows you to view S.M.A.R.T. parameters which this disk is able to return.
by selecting the drive you want to monitor, you can see elementary parameters of hard drive such as
device model or serial number. Below there is a table with S.M.A.R.T. attributes. In first column you will
find an attribute name, in second - minimum threshold value of this parameter, then current value, next
worst value and after the status. If a value of the attribute has ever exceeded the maximum allowed
value, the status will show "failed".
If value of the attribute is just under the maximum allowed value, the status will show "pre-failed".
On some hard drives part of the attributes can be displayed as "Unknown_Attribute" - this can happen
when the hard drive manufacturer has done some modifications in S.M.A.R.T. and these changes are
not yet supported by our software.
Button "view errors" provide you ability to view the S.M.A.R.T. log of that drive which is generated
automatically.
Function: S.M.A.R.T. test fig 3.4.7d
This function allows you to perform short and long tests of the hard drive.
You will be informed about the progress of the test.
When done, click on "results" button to view test log.
Performing a test is not recommended during normal (daily) usage of that hard drive.
Some motherboards and controllers don’t support S.M.A.R.T. tests.
