Preparation

Electromagnetic Stirrer (Option)

When measuring particles suspended in a fl uid, the sample fl uid must not be contaminated

and particles suspended in the sample fl uid must be equally dispersed to obtain a reliable

result.

The electromagnetic stirrer (option) can equally disperse particles suspended in the sample

fl uid by turning a stirring bar in the sample fl uid using external electromagnetic induction.

A remote micro type VARIOMAG HP40107 (Produced by H+P Labortechnik) is used as

an electromagnetic stirrer.

Controls and features

Electromagnetic stirrer

Installed in the sample stand of the KL-04.

Control cable

The plug connects to the control cable connector on the controller with.

Controller

Turns the power supply ON or OFF and adjusts the revolution speed of the stirring bar

by rotating the volume dial.

Volume dial

Turns the power supply ON or OFF and adjusts the turning frequency of the stirring

bar.

Turn the volume dial to the right for a higher revolution speed of the stirring bar. Turn

the volume dial all the way to the left to cut the power supply off.

Control cable connector

Connects to the control cable plug of the electromagnetic stirrer.

Power cord

Connects to the AC outlet.
