Chapter 4 Shooting — Basic procedures
For shooting
White/black balance adjustment to completion of recording
For shooting, use the following steps.

Switch the <ND FILTER> dial setting according to the light conditions.

Operate the <WHITE BAL> switch.

When white balance is already saved in memory

Set the <WHITE BAL> switch to <A> or <B>.

When neither white or black balance is saved in memory and you have no time to adjust the white balance
f
Set the <WHITE BAL> switch to <PRST>.
The value can be changed to 3200 K, 5600 K, or the user-specified variable value by pushing the <AUTO W/B BAL> switch towards the <AWB>
side, and while the color temperature is displayed, pushing the <AUTO W/B BAL> switch towards the <AWB> side again. The variable value can
be set with the jog dial button. (page 62)

To adjust the white balance on the spot

Select the filter matched to the lighting conditions. Set the <WHITE BAL> switch to <A> or <B>, shoot a white subject at the center of the screen,
and perform the following steps to adjust the white balance.
1) Push the <AUTO W/B BAL> switch towards the <AWB> side to adjust the white balance. (page 61)
2) Push the <AUTO W/B BAL> switch towards the <ABB> side to adjust the black balance. (page 62)
3) Push the <AUTO W/B BAL> switch towards the <AWB> side to adjust the white balance again.

Point the camera at the subject and adjust the focus and zoom.

When using the electronic shutter, set the shutter speed/shutter mode. (page 64)

Press the <REC> button to start recording.

To stop recording, press the <REC> button again.

During recording, operation buttons (<

When highly bright subjects (e.g. sun or lighting) are shot, the periphery of the subject might be colored.
