Extended I/O Input Setting
Set the functions, and allocate the bits referenced at the PC, for extended I/O unit
input terminals.
The following functions can be set for the input terminals of the extended I/O unit.
S
Screen switching
When the input terminal comes ON, the display changes to the set screen num-
ber. If the screen number is set as “0”, the display will return to the previously
displayed screen.

Notify bit
Notifies the status (ON/OFF) of the input terminal to the bit at the PC.

Numeric key
When the input terminal comes ON, it has the same effect as pressing the set
control key.

Backlight OFF cancelling attribute
When the input terminal comes ON the backlight, which had been switched off
by the “backlight OFF function” (afterimage prevention function) set by memory
switch, comes back ON (in the case of the EL display type, the screen display is
redisplayed).
The backlight OFF cancellation function is automatically featured in conjunction
with the screen switch function and ten key function.
Extended I/O units cannot be used with Ver.1 direct connection.
Do not use the PT extended I/O input function for
applications where there is any danger to human life or
possibility of serious damage, or for an emergency stop
switch function.
