Setting Up Your Workstation 3-13

CONNECTING POWER CORD

If the power cord supplied with the workstation is not compatible with the AC wall outlet in your
region, contact your service representative to obtain a suitable power cord.

NOTES:

To connect the power cord of the workstation to an interruptible
power supply (UPS), use service outlets on the rear of the UPS.
Refer to the manual provided with the UPS for details.

You may need to change BIOS SETUP parameter to link with
power supply from the UPS.
Run BIOS SETUP and select [System Hardware]

→

[AC-LINK]

and change parameter value appropriately.

To connect the workstation with the UPS, use the separately priced
power cord (parallel blade with ground).

CAUTION

Do not use the purchased power cord for any other devices or usage.

The power cord that you have purchased separately is designed aiming to
connect with this workstation and to use with the workstation, and its safety
has been tested. Do not use the purchased power cord for any other
purpose. Doing so may cause a fire or an electric shock.
