Upgrading Your Workstation 9-21

6.

Make the component side of the board face the bottom of the workstation, put the rear
panel of the board on the frame guide securely, and push the board fully so that the board
connection part is certainly connected to the slot.

IMPORTANT:

If you fail to install the board correctly, remove and

reinstall it. Do not apply excess force to the board. Doing so may cause
damage to the board.

7.

Close the PCI slot retention kit.
A click occurs to lock the board.

8.

Assemble the workstation.

9.

Turn on the power of the workstation. Make sure that no error message appears on the
POST screen.
If an error message appears, write down the message and contact your service
representative for the maintenance.

10.

Run the BIOS SETUP Utility, and select [Advanced] - [Reset Configuration Data] - [Yes].
This is required to update the hardware configuration information. See Chapter 4 for
details.
