locked if the driver's door is open and the
folding key is not inserted in the ignition lock.
Do not leave the folding key in the vehicle
when locking the vehicle.

The vehicle is not locked if the driver's door
is open and the smart key is detected in the
vehicle.

The vehicle is locked when the driver's door
is open and the smart key is detected out-
side the vehicle.

If children are left unsupervised in the vehicle,
they could:

open doors, thereby endangering other per-
sons or road users

get out and be struck by oncoming traffic

operate vehicle equipment and become

In addition, the children could also set the
vehicle in motion, for example, if they:

release the parking brake
R
shift the automatic transmission out of park
position P or shift manual transmission into
neutral

start the engine
There is a risk of an accident and injury.
When leaving the vehicle, always take the key
with you and lock the vehicle. Never leave
children and animals unattended in the vehi-
cle. Keep the keys out of the reach of children.
