Calculations
The calculations can be made with the values given in the above-
mentioned chart.
Actual total weight
The actual total weight must not exceed the permitted total weight.
The actual total weight (in lb) is calculated as follows:
Actual front axle load
The actual front axle load must not exceed the permitted maximum
load. The actual total front axle load (in lb) is calculated as follows:
Actual rear axle load
The actual rear axle load must not exceed the permitted maximum
load. The actual total rear axle load (in lb) is calculated as follows:
Ballast required in the front
The minimum load on the front axle must be 20% of the basic weight
of the tractor. With a mounted machine in the power lift behind the
tractor the minimum required ballast (in lb) in front of the tractor is
calculated as follows:
If the calculated value is negative no additional ballast is required.
