Managing IPv6 Interface Configuration Page
Selection Criteria
Interface
- Selects the interface to be configured. W hen the selection is changed, a screen refresh
will occur causing all fields to be updated for the newly selected port. All physical interfaces are valid.
Configurable Data
DHCPv6 Client Mode
- Enables or Disables DHCPv6 Client mode on an interface. At any point of
time only one interface can act as a Client. Default value is disable.
Stateless Address AutoConfig Mode
- Enables or Disables Stateless Address AutoConfig mode
on an interface. Default value is disable.
IPv6 Prefix
- Select "Add" to Add new IPv6 prefix. Select "None" to configure parameters other than
the IPv6 Prefix. Select one of the listed and configured IPv6 addresses or link local address to view
or configure related fields.
IPv6 Prefix
- Use it to enter the IPv6 prefix to be added.
IPv6 Prefix Length
- Use it to specify the IPv6 prefix length.
EUI-64
- Specifies 64 bit unicast prefix.
Valid Lifetime by Prefix
- Specifies router advertisement per prefix time to consider prefix valid for
purposes of on link determination. Valid lifetime must be in the range (0 to 4294967295)
Preferred Lifetime by Prefix
- Specifies router advertisement per prefix time. An autoconfigured
address generated from this prefix is preferred. Preferred lifetime must be in range (0 to -1).
Preferred lifetime must be in range (0 to 4294967295) seconds.
OnLink Flag by Prefix
- Specifies selected prefix can be used for on-link determination. Default
value is enable. This selector lists the two options for on-link flag: enable and disable.
